Melbert B.Cary, Jr. Graphic Arts Collection
The
Melbert B.Cary, Jr. Graphic Arts Collection is a world-renowned rare book library that documents the whole history of graphic communications technologies and includes resources on letterform history, type design, book illustration, papermaking, printing processes, photography, and bookbinding. The Collection also includes outstanding holdings of typography, fine printing, calligraphic manuscripts, and artists' books, and features the Graphic Design Archives. It houses some 60,000 volumes, as well a collection of important 19th-century handpresses.
