ERIC is located by going to FirstSearch. Choose ERIC from the list of databases. Type in your search request. Because you are using the FirstSearch interface, you will have both Basic and Advanced Search options. From the Advanced Search option the phrase "preschool reading program" and the phrase "case studies" were typed in the search boxes. They are joined by "and" (from the drop down menu on the far left). "And" is the boolean operator that allows for the phrase and word to be searched together.
