- WorldCat, a database available through FirstSearch contains records
of materials owned by libraries across the world. Enter the Wallace
Home Page, choose Research Databases / World Cat to search or view
a Practice

- Journals and Magazines
- FirstSearch provides access to numerous databases which allow you to
search for journal and magazine articles on a specific topic. The search
results will provide citation information. In most cases an abstract of
the articls is also provided.
- EbscoHost and Proquest provide access to several databases which allow you
to search for journal and magazine articles on a specific topic. The search
results will provide citation information. In most cases an abstract of
the article is also provided.
- Full-Text
- Proquest/ABI Inform is a journal and magazine full-text database which
provides articles on specific topics. The journals indexed in ABI are
primarily business and trade publications. A Practice
Example is available.
- Academic Search Elite is a full-text multidisciplinary database providing
articles from approximately 1,200 journal and magazine sources.
- Lexis/Nexis is a large full-text database. It contains more than 5,600 different publication sources. You may find the Lexis/Nexis
Database Guide or Practice
Example helpful in learning how to construct an effective search.
